Memories of Love Returned demonstrates the importance of the tradition of studio photography and the powerful legacy that dedicated preservation and exhibiting of this rich tradition can have for connecting existing and new generations of Ugandans, East Africans, and Africans, with their cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIAL MENTION to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s Village by Victorien Vialar (Burlina Faso)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The jury would like to give a very special mention to Women&#8217;s Village for its artfully crafted and powerfully immersive portrait of the sensitive yet strong female leadership and positive social cohesion of a Burkina Faso village.
